Quiet Time at Church

I sketched a big famous cathedral.
Based on the same black&white, I tried very different approaches to make values.
Actual light comes like the first one.
But the second approach is more punchy and dramatic. Very interesting and fun!

After sketching, I visited the church and had
a quiet time for thoughts and prayers.

These quick sketches
were made a few years ago, when a disability happened in a leg . I prayed for Lord to give me the answer if I would be an artist or not.

Today, I'm certain I was born to be an artist, my childhood dream came true.

A person's ability and the potential is unlimited.

I thank for the disability that has actually helped me discover my ability and talent...
...and given me compassion and empathy for anyone who needs help.

    Sadami
Thank you so much, Joshemari. Your blog helps me learn a lot about landscape. The second approach is, indeed, my mentor's suggestion. The lovely friend artist and great landscape specialist helps me. I'm blessed I can/could meet such wonderful friends like you, mentors and blog friends through art activities. In the next upload on "quick watercolor of figures," I'd like to talk of friends and other artists' friendship, too. God bless you, Joshemari and keep up your wonderful work!
    Kind regards and smile,
    Sadami

Sadami, beautiful watercolors of the Cathedral and its various approaches.
The second more I like the contrast of sun and shade.
You can see your great handling of the drawing.
Indeed, the Lord should have said you would be a great artist. Y. .. this has been!
Pretty well the rest of sketches!
    Congratulations!
    Greetings.

  13. Dear Dean,
"Yes!" and thanks for the comment. I got a picture book project, won some fine art awards and sold some works. Then, started my career. Commercially, very competitive and not easy. But after doing my best, I'll leave it in His hand. I feel an optimist is a person who trust in herself and Him. Let's enjoy our lives fully without useless worry!
    Cheers, wink, wink,
    Sadami
