Australian Summer & Good News

This week, I'll chat over my summer life and the medical good news.
Are you enjoying summer or winter? Australia, it's in the middle of summer! More than 30 degrees everyday. Too much heat outside.I divide life into three : work, sketches and swimming.
I sometimes struggle hard before a due date like a guy above. Sketching might be the best time for me. Pure fun and joy. Especially, kids are great comfort in busy days and...in crazy hot days.
Only children are full of energy and adults are melting away or down-and-out!

After work, I go for swimming!
I've SERIOUSLY started swimming after getting a disability, in order to keep leg
muscles. Now, I can swim 1000m easily. The longest record is 1500m. I've learned swimming all by myself.

A "rock bath(=ocean pool)" is the place I go. Try an "ocean pool" that does not have big waves like a beach. Become a jelly fish! Salt water seems much easier for us to float than an inside pool. While floating, looking up a blue sky and birds is fun. Many beautiful sea creatures are there -- crabs, octopuses, prawns, fishes, shells, dolphins etc. I love watching waves...nature is a poet.

Friends, good news, a specialist has claimed that I'm stabilized = the leg has stopped deteriorating. I heard the word, "recovering" for the first time in these 6 yrs. It gives me confidence!! My manmos efforts have resulted in holding or holding back muscles.

Neurologically, no dramatic changing. But If I can suspend the situation, I'm the winner getting over this cause-unknown sickness. The medical team recommends me to keep up swimming.
Happy Sadami also enjoys cartoons. It means I'm relaxing and joy stays with me. "A day in Sadami's Life" for your coffeebreak. Thank you for your great cheers that have helped me get through a tough time. Ah, life is beautiful and people are lovely!!
Soon, this blog will be a 1 year old on 16th February. I do not know how I can express my special thanks for you.
Please take care and see you next Monday!

Hoy hace calor... Es una locura! Un día bueno y otro frío.
    Un beso.

  21. Dear GG,
Thank you. Hope spring will come to you soon and certain. I made the first sketch in a rainy and nearly stormy yesterday. Suddenly, cold. But regular members still came and swam at the pool. Very warm water. After a swim, I sketched an ocen in a car(otherwise, an outside was freezing cold and too hard winds.)
    Cheers, Sadami

  22. Dear Rohnda,
Thank you for celebrating for me! As I mentioned above(*see my reply above), the first sketch was a stormy sea, gales in a cloudly day. But usually, under sunshine, I play with sea creatures in a "peaceful way"..:). Only the problem is... swimming gives me a good appetite. I've put on weight. Hospital nurses say, "Muscles are heavier than fat!" Gulp. I want to believe so?! I'll keep up swimming!
    Cheers, Sadami

  23. Dear Joshemari,
Thank you. Yes, I'm confident that I can swim faster than a shark??! Hahaha! Will power is great as well as faith as you quote from the Bible. Also, love. With other people that include your "love," I'm overcoming the difficulty. Probably, will, faith and love--these are the necessary elements for us to achieve something:). Today, it's suddenly cold. A climet is strange. Please take care and enjoy your art activities.
    Best wishes, Sadami

    Estimado Joshemari,
Gracias.

    >>>>Joshemari said...
Sadami, so watch and telling you, you have difficulty moving your limbs and problems for swimming ... and now begin to overcome them. Is not that true? How wonderful! I'm glad what you say with words. And I congratulate you for that sense of humor in this comic ... Ja, ja, like running in front of a shark!! That are larger forces!
It takes willpower and you have it, so accounts and as the "faith moves mountains ..." you get what you intend.
    Come, courage!
The paintings of the sea with its waves are wonderful.
Here we are in winter, with Mediterranean climate (mild) but these past days has been very cold. Today's hot ... It's crazy! A good day and a cold.
    A kiss.

  45. Sadami what wonderful news! I don't know much about your disability and wasn't sure it was reversible. I'm so glad to learn that it is. Recovery is a grand word. Keep swimming--and keep those beautiful sketches of the white caps as fresh as they are. I am learning a lot from your puddles and washes and swipes.

    Saludos.

  47. Dear Linda,
Thank you very much! Seems not reversible. But if I can suspend the condition or minimize losing muscles, I'm the winner. Today, I sawm 1,100m after work. You, too, Linda, take care and enjoy your life.

Sadami Hi, how many beautiful things in this post, the first I'm glad your improvement in the problem you have, the second, the first job of the sea, great, this fantastic movement, color, has it all, others sketches are also very nice, but I laughed a lot with the bullets in the end, now I understand how you can swim 1500m, and secure high-speed, ha ha, very good.

  54. Dear New Yorker Dora,
Thank you! Come to Sydney NOW with a swim suit; leave behind snow. Yes, I'm very happy with the leg. At onset, some people said, "Ye need a wheel chair." But I've kept trying and walk very well. More swimming or racing with a shark.
    ...and I'll enjoy cartoons:)!
    Cheers, Sadami

  55. Dear Juan,
Thank you. I'll keep your hug for my hope. Full recovery is not realistic, a permanent disability. But if I can stop deteriorating, suspend the situation or further, put back some muscles, I'll be the great winner!! Indeed, I walk much better than the onset.
    Cheers, Sadami

    Estimado Juan,
Gracias.
    Saludos, Sadami

  60. Dear Vertippsel,
Thank you for cheers and sharing your story!! Very happy to hear you already recovered. My case is still not clear. (A uni's research team asked me to join their project.) If I can stop progression and if it will not spread in my body, I'm the winner! Doctors have recommended soprts, but pretty hard to do it on the ground (*practically, who plays sports with a handicapped girl?)except swimming. Now, my hard work has begun to pay off.
