Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. May peace, no bush fire and the greenish earth be upon you. 明けましておめでとうございます。2019年もお世話になりました。今年もよろしくお願い致します。どうか, 山火事が収まり, Australia に大量の雨が ふりますように!!
Sydney Sketch Club and I enjoyed Sydney TownHall free organ recitals in Dec. These young talented organists will lead our music world. Sketching the magnificent organ is challenging! Yet, I love it. Thank you very much for the great recitals, lovely friendship and support in 2019. Please guide me and foster our friendship in 2020.

I also drew the map all on the globe.
I hope 2020 will be creative and productive to you, all, Friends!
Happy Painting always!

Free Organ Recital 2018

On 28th Dec, "Young Organists Day," I enjoyed an annual and free organ recital in Sydney Town Hall and challenged to capture a majestic grand organ in an hour. The world largest organ installed in 1890 is 11.5 m tall and nearly 6 m deep! The width is nearly equal to the theatre hall. All young selected organists said, "It's huge, so I love it." In my sketch, Emily Thompson plays "Theme and Variations" from Sonata 6, Op.65 composed by Flelix Mendelssohn(1809-1847). Three siblings from the Thompsons played the music. Furthermore, one more family member will join this concert next year! What a music loving family Thompsons!
A divine music and euphoria. As well as the size, young talents told the reasons of loving an organ were "For God," and "Use a body to create sounds." Their say sounded similar to visual art. When we, even visual artists, get excited, we naturally move bodies and begin to dance. (*I do!). Probably, art is from our excitement and ecstasy. So, we respond to art in a same way.
Kind Emily offered me time for photos. Interesting to hear about young organists' life. They daily spend five or some hours in practice, win prizes and fellowships. Their enthusiasm is amazing. I hope these talents will grow and become wonderful organists in the world. Nice to listen to a great music and very encouraging to know other persevering gifted emerging artists. I should keep up.

Now, Friends, a different topic. I'm already working on two projects for 2019. Busy! Hopefully, I will make a public announcement in Jan. Look forward to our good news.
Thank you very much for your strong support this year!!
Friends, Happy Painting and Enjoy Your Lives Fully!

1)Decide to Be Happy 2) For Ameican Friends

Hi, Friends, Christmas is just around the corner. Have you finished up shopping?

The news from Connecticut tore my heart, too. I lost word. Language is too cheap to say something ..., but I keep praying for you with all my heart. I'd send my condolences and prayers for all American friends and involved people.
These days, I'm sending cards. In cards or emails, I quote the favorite poem "Decide to Be Happy" written by Robert Muller (1923-2010, Assistant Secretary General to UN).
I'd live like this poem.
>>>>
Decide to be happy
Render others happy
Proclaim your joy
Love passionately your miraculous life
Do not listen to promises
Do not wait for a better world
Be grateful for every moment of life
Switch on and keep on the positive buttons in yourself,
those marked
optimism,
serenity,
confidence,
positive thinking,
love
Pray and thank God every day
Meditate - smile - laugh
whistle - sing - dance
Look with fascination at everything
Fill your lungs and heart with liberty
Be yourself fully and immensely
Act like a King or Queen unto Death
Feel God in your body, mind, heart, and soul
and be convinced of eternal life and resurrection.
>>>
A dear friend gave me this poem ages ago. The poem always stayed with me at a tough time.
Today, people often call me, "a happy person" on streets.
Yes, I always laugh, smile, dance, sing, whistle, while sketching, even though I have the difficulty in moving and an ongoing medical treatment. I always sketch anyone. Oh, in my eyes, everyone is so precious and beautiful.
I heartily hope 2013 will be a wonderful year for you, readers.

... and lastly, Friends, Happy Painting!

Sketching Makes Us Friends

Sketching outside is really a fun!

I sketched Town Hall. It took an hour to finish this work. I start drawing with a pen directly on a paper. Once, drawing is finished, putting colors is an exciting and happy job. I smile, sing and dance on a street. Well, I also feel some people begin to look at me from my back. (*Thank you very much for your kindness not to disturb me.)

Some people gave me nice comments. They made me warm, even though winds were a little bit cold for sketching outside and sitting in a building shadow. Mmmm....autumn. Leaves that were green turn to burnt sienna, red, orange and yellow. Beautiful.

On my way home, I saw a young artist offering others freebie caricatures. We enjoyed sketching each other.

While I was sketching him, young people came around us. Ah, that's it! Art is universal language that anyone can understand and loves it!

These days, many artists have begun to join my blog.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Your cheers are great encouragements. I'm learning lots from other blogs.

I hope I will upload good work that many people can enjoy.
