Musicians(sketches) & Christmas Card

Yahooo, Friends! Are you having a wonderful weekend? Thank you for the kind comments that encouraged me to "ANYHOW" access internet. I'd like to tell you my hilarious (?!) tragicomedy on the new computer & Internet access---my longest yard to reach.

The tragedy started just after I bought a wonderful new computer from the shop. I thought, now, I could update the blog and send hellos to blog friends. No, not at all!
The new computer did not detect an old wireless USB adopter from a modem. "An installation CD, that's what I need!" I thought. (I well stored a pile of old boost CDs, but not sure which for the modem).

Stop Blaming On Someone Else!

When I rang up a telephone company, the company blamed on a modem company. Now, when I called the modem company, a receptionist said, "No, you bought it from the telephone company (=Not our business). Therefore, the telephone company must provide you...blablabla" and hang up in a few seconds! How could she treat me so kindly?

Hey, who looks after this wondering sheep?
Actually, the phone company gave me a free modem. Now, do they forsake customers?

Please Never Ignore Customer Nor Pass Hot Potato to Others.
I got back to the telephone company and tried, at least, 5 or 6 persons. All they gave me WRONG ANSWERS.
"Send you a technician, er, take an appointment. Not sure when...," the manager said.
"No! I can't wait! I need a CD, the info to install the connection. Which CD?" irritated Sadami finally yelled at him.
The manager got upset with me and said in an ironical tone, "CD, CD, you(=Sadami) say, what does it mean? I'll pass you to another manager!" ...for nearly 20 minutes no answer.
Another person tried to pass me to a private company. No, I turned it down.

Give Customer The Right Answer
Once again, when I tried my last hope for the modem company. This time, a receptionest showed me a great empathy and straightforward, promised me to send the info by email. Oh, his voice sounded like an angel. He admitted that some constomers left over between a telephon company and a modem company.

Well, I smiled, "
Dash to a public libarary and download the info. Easy piecy!" I drove down to a library with a CD.

What a Hell Going On More?!
No, Friends, not eay at all...! The smile was broken into pieces. Gulp...

A librarian said officially, "USB. A library does not allow CDs." A technical guy said, "Sorry, computers do not have CD burners," but he kindly explained how to do it.
I drove back to the unit and picked up a USB stick.

Then, when I tried to download it, a warning sign said, "administer does not allow..." ???
"The technical guy is in a meeting," they said and "not available today." Librarians could not handle my case and said, "Come back tomorrow."
NO~~~~~~!!!

My Life Savor--The Computer Shop
Eventually, the computer shop saved this wondering sheep. When I broght the new computer, the USB adompter and the info content USB, the guy reconnected my computer with internet in a few minutes.
The final hurdle was to get my pass word again. But the task was quite easy. This time, the telephone company helped me well. At last, I got on internet!!
Yeah~~~~~!!! My dear friend said over the phone, "Oh, poor girl. Have to have wine!" Sure is.

Dear Friends, if you have caring computer shops, they are your wonderful assets. Keep and treat them well. Once I had a laugh, when I read Linda's poor friend who gave a loooong international call to a HP company. Now, I cannot have a laugh any more.

Anyway,
All's Well That Ends Well.
Enjoy my sketches and a Christmas card! Thanks millions, many visitors' so nice comments that helped me get throgh a computer fiasco.

  1. Oh!

Oh! Sadami, I think what's happened is the same all over the world. I have come to take days to get me to fix something. Your drawings are wonderful. Enhorabuna, by the new team and drawings. A hug.

  2. I am so glad you stuck with it and you're back. Your extreme aggravation is no where to be seen in your paintings. I love your musicians, (have tried the subject myself but with a much heavier hand),and only a happy artist (no matter what computer crap she had been through) could have made that Christmas card. It put a smile on my face.

  4. Oh Sadami, you have all my sympathy. After all the trials I've gone through during the past month when my husband decided to switch from his old PC to an Apple and all the headaches it caused, I can sympathize completely!!!!! Life does get better ... and even better than before once the new one is behaving! ... but he still gets himself into trouble. (I'm his guru and I don't even have an Apple).

  6. Sadami, I enjoyed your fiasco and can relate to it totally. Thank you for sharing it. I love your Christmas card! I'm married to a banjo pickin', guitar-strumming, piano-playing music man and your paintings of your musicians made me smile. Nice job.

  8. Dearest Sadami, what an ordeal. I bet you needed some wine after that! Or, maybe two?
So glad you have everything in working order. By the looks of your card, Santa is having his share of troubles too. Hope you only have smooth sailing from here on out.

  11. Dear Linda,
Oh, thanks! These paintings actually saved fooled Sadami. Sketching lifted me up. Musicians were very happy with my work and some asked me to make their CD covers. Not sure at this stage, but wish me good luck. Regarding rangers, please be kind to them?! They are fragile and only and real humans:).
    Best wishes,

  12. Dear Elva and Husband,
Oh, I have a genuine empathy for both of you. I can easily imagine what a dreadful experience you are having!! My dear friend and I said, of course over 2 or 3 bottles of wine, "For our peace, we have to extract all computers from the earth." Alas, a sophisticated machine is our necessary evil.
I hope you and your husband will tame computers, not serve for them;).
    Cheers and smile, Sadami

  13. Dear Hilda,

  14. Dear Linda,
What a lucky girl that stole a musician's heart!! I "once" played a guitar at a band and know their behaviours well(*Do ye believe this? Soon I found my NO talent in it and became a lead vocal/singer). Guitars are so precious for guitar players. When I come across guitar players, always we enjoy joking over guitars and girls. "Which is more important for you, your guitar or a girl?" I whisper a question with a smile. Answer? Well, each guy is different and our secret!
    Cheers, Sadami

  21. I feel your pain Sadami! I can't tell you the number of times I've called my phone company about internet issues just to have them tell me it's my modem and I'd have to replace it. We did replace it not too long ago. Then I encountered issues again, called the phone company and they said I needed a new modem.....it was a NEW modem, I emphatically said. Anyways....computer issues are NO fun. Glad you got it all resolved and are back on track! thanks for the Christmas cards....they're fun!

  22. Dear Gretchen,
I, too, feel your pain, oh, poor Gretchen! Is your internet connection ok? Is the phone company helpful now? Pull yourself together and patiently negotiate them, but please do not waste your precious time. At the end of my trouble, the phone company, an automatic recorded voice asked me to cooperate their survey for a better service. Of course, I spoke OUT my pains up to the maximum untill the time limit. Yes, computer problems are dreadfully stressful. Hope none of readers has it.
Thank you for kind cheers for work.
    Kind regards, Sadami

Finally, thank goodness, the computer works very well for me. Hallelujah;))!!

Thank you so much for a visit and prayer on behalf of me in your busy days. Congrats on your exhibition!! Your exhibited works are A2, aren't they? It encourages me to challenge a bigger size, as I mainly work on A4. It also implies how a hard worker you are!! I sincerely hope everything goes well for your exhibition.

    Estimado Francisco,

  47. Dear Joshemari,
Thank you very much!!! I want to keep a "spontaneous and loose" style in watercolor. Sometimes, when I get a stage fraight, I draw/paint too much. So, I set time limit. The shorter, the better for me. Anyway, above all, I want to enjoy watercolor like you!
    Cheers and a hug, Sadami

    Estimado Joshemari,
Muchas gracias!

    >>>>Joshemari said...
Buf ... with many commentators do not know if I have room to write ...
I do it anyway because I want to tell you that these characters playing musical instruments are fantastic. Like everything you do Sadami. You know I really like your drawings and paintings spontaneous and that great love that you put into them.
    Congratulations and a hug.
