Sketchabout#3 & Daily Work

Hi, Friends, before the topics,
special thank you for great cheers for Japan. Art Auction for Japanese Disaster Relief goes well. Today, my Japanese blogger friends say, "Please pass our best wishes and thank you for your Friends and nice people. It really lifts us up!"

One more, very happy news is swimming has improved my muscles very much. 4 kgs increased, but the waist size gets tightened up. Hospital nurses say, "Look healthier and fitter. Keep up swimming." The podiatrist also recognizes my putting back muscles.

Now, Sketchabout#3. On a patchy rainy day, we went to the Government House. But I already sketched it last week. So, I sketched my new friends. See how we work hard...and chat more?!! (*Tiny dots on her shirt are rain drops, not salt.)
Sadami: "Don't say, 'It's the end of our friendship!!' "
Friend just had a big laugh and we really had a great fun. Hahaha!!
Friend: "Oh, that's nice. I like it." She'd like to use it for online.Sadami: "From next time, I have to charge ye (hopefully "millions"?!)." I will sketch members as many as possible.Another statue is a Scottish poet, Robert Burns.
To really a happy surprise, my admiring artist John Haycraft popped up the Sketchabout. He has been mentoring me for these years.
We really look forward to next Saturday! What a friendly club!

Now, my daily works. After joining the Sydney Sketch Club, I have begun to feel comfortable with landscapes. Sometimes, I feel like painting it like a figure to tell a story.
Awaiting You
This stair way is just in front of my favorite beach pool. So many steps and people do exercises. One day, I will climb it up smoothly without a walking stick! The pool water gets cold in autumn, while some blogger friends are celebrating spring. So, I'd devote this image, "Children, Herald of Spring" for Friends in the northern hemisphere. Kids are full of energy and always in spring or summer. These Pablo Picaso's say are my favorite.
It takes a long time to become young.
And...
Youth has no age.

Children, Herald of Spring
Experiment and first experience for a computer work.
"Photoshop" put together several quick sketches on the daffodils.
I came across a very famous caricaturist, Paul Moyse anyhow remade work to meet a due date by a "computer."
His lesson scared me, a watercolourists and hand-only person, but an illustrator in publishing industry that chases up a dead line. So, I'd learn how to use Photoshop more.

Finally, my cartoon! Friends, do you use a paper for checking colours before painting? I do and always feel these colourful dots look beautiful. I turned it into for "Warms Hide&Seek." Thanks for cheers. With your cheers, I made the longest record, 1500m swim without cramps! Other regular people at the pool celebrated it, too. Anyone with disabilities, please never give up.
I have a dream ; one day I will see you, all blogger Friends in person on the earth
ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ.
Happy painting!

Regarding muscles, especially, arms&legs have got staut. A lazy belly has gone and a tightened up body came up. Girls, try a long distance swimming!! That makes you & feel you good.

Hospital nurses say, "Muscles are heavier than fat," that sounds right. I've put weight on myself, but got tightened up in size. I can squat much better(*at the onset, I could not squat). My muscles get stronger!

Thank you for kind concerns for Japan. Regarding Russia, I'm worried about, too. Hope everything goes well for people. Indeed, internet is amazing, which enables us to contact all over the world.

Yes, water is the hardest thing to get cold on the earth(*that's the only fact I remember in physics!). So, still the water in the pool is around 23', not bad, warm. Come to Sydney;). Let's go to a French restaurant together!! But "go Dutch"?!

I was very happy to hear of your record in the pool, and that treatment is giving great results! thank heaven for that!
[I would need, the pool also to treat my scoliosis of 38 ° ... :( but I did not loose in the water, I'm terrified! ]

I really enjoyed watching you, drawing, I loved the drawings of your companions, sculptures, buildings and landscapes ....
wow! a wonder all the watercolors!
was so good, the watercolors of sculptures, they come to life!

    with patience and perseverance,

  38. Dear Denise,
Your very kind reply lifts me up!!! So privilege for me to get such a wonderful say. You, too, are "too talented, motivated, willing, humble, sincere, persevering and above all a friend!"

How is your scoliosis? Hope it does not hurt you too much. Regarding swimming, Denis, humans never sink in water. Really, never, ever sink. "Two lungs" are our natural air tubes to float our bodies on water.

So, the problem is "fear." Wipe off a fear of sinking. If it's hard to get rid of negative thoughts, ask someone to come with you to a pool. Try a very shallow place first. Say, a knee level and play with water. If really scary, put something on a body to float you for in case.

Just do relax in water. Salt water is much easier for humans to float than pure water in an inside pool. (*this is physics! True.) So, a beach is a good idea.

Have a chat with your medical team. I already tried a "hydro therapy" several years ago to strengthen muscles. It's a gentle exercise in a shallow pool. A physiotherapist will organize a menue.

Thank you for encouragements on my work. Very happy. Ahahaha, I'm a hand use person. I wish I could use PC like you.

But joints and tendous pains are a tragedy for a computer user. Please take care and take time to learn a new PC. Never damage your hands seriously. Any machine cannot substitute our precious hands.

I feel you very near & close, just beside me. Denis, take care. I'll give you my best hugs and smile.

    Cheers&love, Sadami

    saludos.

  41. Dear Francis,
Thank you! Well, a children picture book illustrator illustrates "anyting" and even unvisual things such as imaginations and fantasies. So, I paint everything that interests me:).
From a commercial aspect, adding an interesting information to a painting attracts viewers attention such as history etc. But not sure, adding a story is a good thing or not.

In my eyes, good paintings tell stories well without existing facts(*hope my sentence makes sense!). See good picture book illustrations. They have full of stories.
    Kind regards, Sadami

    Estimado Francisco,
¡Gracias!

  54. Thank you for the kindest reply. Now I want to ask. How do you find time for the blog activity? And how to combine it with real life? I feel that 24 hours is not enough for me and I have to learn control over my time, otherwise it will end up with "fine!" "cool!" "great!" sort of commenting which is wrong for me. Really a problem. How do you manage?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Dear Irina,
    My answers are below.
Q1) How do you find time for the blog activity?
To use a computer is at night & if spare time is found in between activities.

Q2) How to combine it with real life?
All through my life, I've loved reading and writing. Once, I was a newspaper editor at high school and wrote lots of academic researched essay writings at uni. Find topics, develop them and proof reading--is my routine and I love it.

Finding topics is much like inspiration, like fresh ideas for drawing & painting. Then, research to support my topiocs. Always themes are picked out from my real life and something interesting for readers. Organizing collected info with writing is nothing different from academic essay writing at uni life--it has a due date! Yes, I set a due date, Moday=update a new post!

Q3) I feel that 24 hours is not enough for me...(omit). How do you manage?
Regarding commenting, I always try to put my feet into a blogger's shoes. Genuine empathy and friendship is the key for my commenting.

Another view, "We're all equally given 24 hours" ʚ(ˆ◡ˆ)ɞ. I assume you've already found an answer, "How do you "find" time?"
Yes, an individual must find available time in equally given, but limited 24hrs. It's all up to your idea, Irina, how to find&use time.

In addition, I studied at Syndey uni as a mature student. Time management was the hardest task. But I organized the life very well and learned how to do it. If you know uni, check their workshops for 1st year students. Sydney uni has a workshop(*papers are not available for not-students).

    Kind regards&best wishes,
    Sadami
