The Three Sisters rocks in the Blue Mountains is an #Aboriginal #legend like “War and Love.” The sisters were turned to stone forever. The story tells that the sisters, Meehni, Wimlah, and Gunnedoo, from the Katoomba tribe who fell in love with three brothers from the Nepean tribe. A tribal law forbade their marriage. The conflict led to a war. A witchdoctor, in order to protect the sisters, turned them to rocks. The sorcerer was killed in the battle. No one could reverse the spell, which has left the sisters as the majestic rocks to the present.

Had the wonderful memories, re the three sisters. As a first successful applicant, I enjoyed the Pinerolo mentorship program, illustrator residency in Blue Mountains run by WestWords and Margaret Hamilton OAM in 2017. So supportive and approachable, Margaret taught me in picturebook illustration and took me to the Blue Mountain sightseeing between my projects. Her dedication and love will remain me forever. I’ll pass it onto others in my life.

ここは有名な 3人姉妹の 大きな岩があるブルーマウンテンです オーストラリア 先住民族に伝わる お話によれば 3人は岩に永遠に変えられ そこに姿をとどめているのです お話は 戦争とロマンです Katoomba 部族 の 3人姉妹 は Nepean 部族の3人兄弟に 恋をします しかし 敵対する部族はその 結婚を禁じ 3人兄弟は 娘たち と結婚をしたく それが 部族間の 争いに 発展します 魔術師が 姉妹たち を守るために 岩に 変えます しかし 魔術師は 戦の中で命を落とし 誰も その 魔術を解く 方法を知りません だから今も 3人姉妹は そこに 岩として残っているのだそうです 日本の山と違って 大きな丘 まるで テーブルのような 山が連なります
またここには 私はとても 深い思い出があり 可愛がってくれた マーガレットハミルトン さんを思い出します 絵本 児童文学のために 尽力し 最高栄誉の勲章までもらった人ですが とても優しい 後輩のために いくらでも 尽くしてくれる人でした 私は WestWords の mentorship program 最初の 受講生 となり 1ヶ月 そこで過ごしました 私がブルーマウンテンに着くと早速 Sadami, 観光に行きましょうと言って 車で ブルーマウンテンの名所 ここ3 シスターズも 訪ねてくれました とても寒いところで冬は雪が降る んですよ でも彼女の優しさと愛は私の心の中に いつまでも生きていて 私は 次の世代の人たちに 私の絵画活動の中で 伝えたいといつも思っています

Finished up Prof Gogolin's portrait with the very challenging methods, John Salminen approach, "No layering." Very happy with the outcome. This methods maximises the beauty of used colours, because only one paint performs on white paper. Neither dull nor opaque like layered colours. However, technically, it was exactly like the walking on the tightrope ! So difficult that requires a painstaking process and huge efforts. But I made it !!

I love this Ingrid and admire her. Senior Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Hamburg, Germany. Her research areas are Comparative Education, Migration, Language Education and Linguistic Diversity, advocating the disadvantages and fighting for social justice. So much appreciate Prof Gogolin's support, permission and cooperation. The portrait was from my b & w sketches and photos in the linguistics symposiums. *She often positions her hands fingers in very unique ways. Prof Gogolin strongly encouraged me at the end of the conference, "Come to Hamburg! Promise me!! Come!!" Thank you, Ingrid. I will walk, visit Hamburg and give her a big hug next year.

じっくりと楽しめる or 苦しめる書き方 と感じています🤣🎉💖?! #肖像画 何枚も 下書きで 色の組み立てを 試し, 自分がこれと思う作品を 一緒に 書きました. ものすごく大変ですが John Salminen の 絵のタッチが なぜそうなるのか分かったので 感激し, 興奮. ゆうこ先生が Salminen の "クローズアップ" を見せてくれてあったのが ヒントになったのです. そこから 私は できるかもしれないと 頑張り始めました. 
学んだポイントは "色を組み立てる" 事と "色を分解する" 事どちらもこの 手法では使います. 後, 色と色の境界線の部分のほんの少しの 隙間が 上手に使えるか否かが 隠れた キーポイントと 感じました. 間違ってたらまたコースの中で教えていただけばいいし 私の発見点です. バックグラウンド なしですが まず Gogolin教授, 提出します . *彼女は 色々 ユニークな 指の組み方をします.* たくさんの 試し書き, でも大事に持っていた 本命がボツにならずに ここまで来ました. とても嬉しいので ドイツにいる教授たちに お礼と email. 過日, 詫びを 手紙に 入れながら "途中の絵"を送ると "Why should I not like it?" = "好きにならずにはいられないでしょうが!!" と励ましてくれたおかげで くじけませんでした. 泣けるくらい嬉しい. よく頑張った!! 面白い 良い結果が出たので ここで一息. 事故の為, ハンブルグ訪問は 来年延期. 言語学会終わりに 私に話しかけてきて "必ず ハンブルグに来るのよ! 約束よ!!"と. 私は涙が こぼれそうでした. 会えたらきっと抱きしめてこの絵をあげようと 密かに決心しております. 
Salminen, 私の憧れ. 一体どうやって彼は 絵を作るのだろうと #水彩画 に入った時から 不思議でした. 私はインターネットが普及する前, international #watercolour 月刊誌を楽しみ, 彼の作品が出ると切り抜いて集めました. ついに 手法が 分かったので ゆうこ先生に心から感謝します. Btw, 彼の作品で #人物 だけを書いたの, 私は 記憶がありません. P.S.国王誕生日で連休🍾!
