Weaving a Life. Choice of Colours Up to Us.

I think life in a positive way, move on and keep weaving my life with joy. Living life is like weaving a fabric. I feel how to choose threads and put colours on them, is the key. Things happen in our lives. They are plain white, not sad or happy.  Or facts do not have colours. It's up to us or our value system, how we see it and what sorts of colours we put on occurrence. Always we have options how we see or feel ongoing things. It's natural to feel sad, etc, emotions about events. I enjoy my emotions in ups and downs. That's life. But I do not want matters to ride on me. I'm the boss of my life!
I will enjoy weaving my life with colourful threads. I do not want to look back. Already, the woven part is "here" in the present. It's not wise to do it again and only mess up "there" in the past. Physically, it's impossible to go backward. Rather, I appreciate mistakes, errors, called whatever and love them all. Without tumbling down, I will never learn how to dance! I will make a colourful and beautiful life story.

I've learned the importance of the control of life from psychology at uni. I've gained positiveness in me. I read through many psychologists : V.E Frankl, Rollo May, Carl Rogers, Maslaw, Karen Horney, Judith Herman etc, etc ...and Yalom. Lots of reading has given me the insights of life. It was, indeed, my psychology lecturer's help, a second generation of Auschwitz survivors. She tried hard not to cross the boundary though, she wanted to assist me to find a future direction to go. I chose art. It was right.
But today, I feel, "JUST DO IT! Time of reading was over!". I forgot what I had read, hahaha!

Positiveness is the strength to make us happy. If I choose life passively in a negative way, it means that I become a loser. The person who learns from setback is always a winner. Of course, we cannot change all the elements of life, but we can change lots. Yes, we know, how to accept what happens on us is crucially important in the control of life.
Btw, I've started Instagram. https://www.instagram.com/sadamikonchi/ The logo is below. The Instagram will be the selection of my best art work. Look forward to it. I hope I will make a lot of quality work so to enter my own Instagram. Established Australian illustrators, Elise Hurst and Anna Walker have helped me to set it up. I, a technological wondering sheep, still do not know how to upload images at Instagram and facebook at the same time. I do not get how to answer a comment in instagram. Keep patience, please. I will learn it step by step and certainly reply for each comment.
Thank you, all friends, for warm support!
I hope 2017 will be a creative and wonderful year for all of you and me.

  1. I wondered what Instagram was all about ... I thought it was like tweeting or texting (neither of which I do) or something. So it's like a big picture album on the internet? I may give it a go.

Very positive message you send out! I must admit I like to be that way, and I find the humour in most situations, which is awkward when those around me don't see the 'funny-side'. The other thing is cross-roads in life: I never know when my life reaches a crossroads ... until sometime after after I have past it!! Hence I've had 5 careers in my life without really choosing them :)

    1. Hi, John, yes, Instagram is a showcase of photos to share with friends. Seeing is believing. Have a look of mine and others.
Lovely to know you know the importance of a sense of humour that gives you an objective view of your circumstances. For me, humour is barometer of subjectivity and objectivity. I check myself if I have a laugh in a healthy way, not ironical.
Please be proud of five careers. What a rich life experience you have! I admire you!! Best wishes, Sadami

  2. I admire your always positive attitude, Sadami. Thinking of it has helped me overcome some of my "glass-half-empty" moments. So, thank you for spreading this optimism!
The painting of the little superman is wonderful!

    1. Thank you, Blaga, for your thoughtful comment. Eventually, I'm optimistic and positive. That's my assets and strength in any circumstances. In our limited and given time on the earth, what will we do in each moment? I hope I will live my life fully. The little superman was so cute and I could not resist sketch him! Cheers, ((Hugs)), Sadami

  3. What a wonderful way to explain life. It has intrigued me and I just might find a way to paint my life in colored lines like a weaving. Something for me to ponder. I do hope 2017 is a banner year for you Sadami, with many blessings.

To you, life itself has taught you much to appreciate what you need and it has been through painting that you found one of your ways. They fill you up. And you enjoy the atmosphere that is created through this hobby. You've found friends, loved ones, people who need love, people who appreciate what you know how to do and even ... you've probably come to find yourself.
      Have a beautiful year
      or
      A hug.

    1. Oh, Meera, me, too, love both. The little superman was so adorable. If you can enjoy some in my post, I'm very happy. Thank you. Yes, when we examined our value, we find it defines good or bad etc, etc. A fact, itself does not have it. We have a tough time. But once, we can look at in an objective way, we can smile or laugh. Subjectivity and objectivity could decide a tragedy/sad thing or a comedy. It's important for me to set back and look at myself objectively or a in a calm manner.
Instagram is not easy for me, technology hopeless! Keep patience, please. You, too, please enjoy social media in your own way for creativity. HNY to you, too!!
      Best wishes, Sadami

  6. What a wonderful portrait of this little one as superman :). And your words are true - we must shape our lives as much as we can, not letting outside events take us places we do not want to go. Persevere!!
