Paralympians, My Superheroes

I cry a lot every night, watching Paralympic games, but tears in hope and joy. Oh, Rachael Watson is my superhero, Australian Paralympic gold medallist, 50m freestyle, overcoming disability. "Never give up," "if you put your heart into it and you just try and try and try, you can achieve whatever you want in your life.” I believe in possibility and will walk on my own feet till the end of my life! When Libby Hathorn and I visited Japan for Basho research, a friend gave me the Olympics and the Paralympics symbol badge.

  1. How cool to have the badges! And the painting made me smile to see your sneakers and brace and know this is a portrait of your own strength and resilience :).

    1. Oh, sweet Rhonda, thank u very much! Yes, I want to show off the badge like my strength and resilience. I walk lots for exercise these days in lockdown. You, too, please take care. See you one day. ((Hugs)), love, Sadami
