"Magnet" --- yes, I thought of fridge magnets! Do you collect them? I do some. What sort of magnets do you like or do you have on your own fridge? Fridge magnets tell a family history, important contact lists, a schedule etc. etc, whilst decorating the fridge. Word magnets and simple magnets also hold photos and kids' drawings on a fridge. They are so sweet. I love to look at the fridges in my friends' kitchens. Friends, this daily challenge is a good practice to stimulate my brain and imagination.
If you have any funny episode of word magnets and fridge magnets, let's share.
Very happy to know Sketch Club members love my work. Thank you very much for your warm cheers. Tomorrow, a theme is "ME" (i.e. a portrait of yourself).
Friends, Happy Painting!

Great concept for the word Magnet! Love the Dad looking at the painting his little girl painted for him and is now hung on the fridge :) I have some artwork the grandkids did and it is on the fridge, too along with magnets collected from trips and magnets a friend sent me from Spain.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you for sharing!! See? Sweet Rhonda, your story is so heart warming and common among us. It's really lovely to know your good memories are on the fridge. I hope you will put grandkids' art work more on the fridge. Enjoy your life fully!! Best wishes, Sadami
DeleteI love your sketches, Sadami, and I follow your every day sketches closely! When my son was little we also had many drawings on the fridge. Now I only have some 'ladybird' magnets on my fridge, they almost look real and I like them very much. Happy painting!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a sweet story you have!! Also, it implies you, a mother's little bit sigh to see your son's growing (lovely thing though). Ladybirds sound interesting, "almost look real"!? Wow. Some magnets are humorous and I love reading them. Cheers, Sadami
DeleteSuch sweetness on the little girl's face as she does a new drawing. Must represent your own emotions Sadami........am I right? I bet you smile while you are drawing too.
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you very much, sweet Carol! Yes, I always do the same face expressions of my figures or I always smile. It amaze/amuse onlookers. Kind regards, Sadami

DeleteHey, Sadami, I didn't expect that so much has happened on your blog that I have missed. You have posted so many beautiful sketches and paintings, so expressive, so full of character and life! Love seeing your energy and enthusiasm too, so refreshing. Keep drawing, painting and enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Blaga! Yes, I've been very busy. Regarding this daily task, it's nothing different from picture book illustration. Based on my references and imagination, I organise each image. Illustration is fun. You, too, enjoy your life, painting and drawing fully. Best wishes, Sadami
Me falta imaginación.
¡ Gracias mucho, Joshemari dulce!

Sadami, your brain is a machine full of imagination to be able to develop a drawing of different theme every day. Ugh, I am unable to do this and I admire you because you know what to do and... very good! I'm just able to draw what my eyes see. I lack imagination. It would be unable to write a story based on drawings.
I've been watching all your drawings of the week and they are fantastic! I congratulate you for this! Still, still giving us the pleasure to contemplate them.
A big hug.
Never thought that fridge magnets could be a subject of art!!! I keep hunting for subjects. Need to look around more carefully. Thanks for inspiring Sadami.
ReplyDeleteThank you, AK. Of course, we, visual artists will pull out the beauty from anything. I was told to have a “good eye” at the beginning of my career. Unique concepts and the development of ideas are the key for us. Best wishes, Sadami
