Heroic #self-sacrifice, and willingness to face imminent death that Rodin captured in his work. In the Hundred Years' War, when Calais, a French port surrendered to the English after an eleven-month siege. The citizens who represented the others voluntarily walked down to the English army. The sculptured man behind me was holding the key of Calais, the symbol of authority. #history #アデレード州立美術館 で #スケッチ も楽しみましたこれは #オーギュストロダン の #彫刻 です 3つありましたが これは #カレーの市民 ブルジョア を思い出させました 作品になった "カレーの市民" はもっと 着物をつけております 英雄的な #自己犠牲 そして #死 に 直面する #恐怖 その悶える瞬間を見事に捉えています 私は歴史は勉強したことがありませんが イギリスとフランスの #100年戦争 の折 #フランスの港町カレー は 11ヶ月の包囲の後 降伏します その中の市民たちで 自ら 死を覚悟した上で街を代表し イギリス軍 に 降る人々が出たといいます それを後に ロダンにコミッションで 作って欲しいということで出来上がった作品があるのですよかったら調べてください私の後ろに見えている 男の人が持っているのは 大きな #鍵 です これは町を表すシンボルでもあり 権威の象徴なのです 一度でいいから見たかった作品の 元の作品が見られたのですごく感激してました😍 #maygibbs #fellowship #adelaide #study

Learned a lot, how to handle objects / subjects simplified by #colours #light and #perception . Love the beauty in such an ordinary theme. 私たちの #日常生活 を扱ったもの大好き いかにもこれは #オーストラリア のありふれた #風景 なのです 家の作りもそうですし 全体のまとまりが 素晴らしいです. 意外だったのはこれがたいへん小さな #木のパネル に書かれておりました 小さな作品なので その中で省略してシンプルにした subject モチーフが上手に まとめられていました それと きびきびした #筆遣い が 面白くて私はこの作品大好きです #アデレード州立美術館 行ってよかったわ❤️ 至福の時間😍
