I was about to upload more "Sketch Children" or some animals or flowers.
But the computer does not start. Finally, it starts and gets frozen. On and off. Gulp. I'm not sure any computer shop will be open at a weekend. Sniff, sniff. Sadami, hang in there!
I'd really appreciate your backups and cheers. I've started a blog since this February (* in fact, my linguistics professor recommended it several years ago. A computer-hopeless and coward Sadami was reluctant). I uploaded acorns for the first post and dreamed to be an oak tree...
This week, I could find more than 100 people are regularly interested in my blog. Amazing. I've never expected this success. Further, many people's kind comments that touch my heart. My joy is beyond language.
As I have a difficulty in walking, this internet approach gives me an idea for people with disabilities to enjoy art and communication with others all over the world!
I have a dream. In the near future, I'd like to do something for people with disabilities so that anyone can enjoy creative activities. I hope, one day, to be an oak tree that will rest others in a cool shadow...
Ooops, 3 o'clock, in the middle of night. Not sure tomorrow, this computer will work for me. I'll take a rest.
I hope I can upload a post on time = next Monday. But if not, please await it.
In these simple words, "Thank you," I'd like to put special thanks.
See you soon. Friends, please take care.
*Anyhow, the machine worked and uploaded some images! Thanks for cheers!! Yes, this girl will "go beyond" and step into a bright future on an open field.
(* Hi, Linda.W.Roth, this is my very old work, but I like it. I assume Linda got why I had talked of it. Thank you for making me remember the work. I will enjoy still life as well as figures.)

I am so sorry Sadami. Computer malfunctions are the worst. My friend's computer was acting the same way--the screen was blacking out after a second or two. He needed a new mother-board. It was an HP. After much shopping around, he decided to send it back to the manufacturer for repair; it was less expensive than the neighbor hood shop or a new computer. Once they got it,(HP sent a special box with all the interior protection stuff to pack it in), they had it back to him in less than a week. I hope your problem isn't as serious, but if it is...
ReplyDeleteDear Dora, Teresa, Teri, Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you soooo much!! Your cheers lift me up. I'll make a "backup" and seek a shop(if any at a weekend). I still cannot upload pictures.
Love and smile, Sadami

Hi Sadami
ReplyDeleteComputers have a mind of there own, don't they! Anyway, glad the girl made it :). I hope your computer stabilises. My husbands says if the computer is stubborn, reboot and see what happens...
I love the top sketch of the girl finding a big big world, that is bright and maybe full of interesting adventures :).
Your work is so lovely. I am not surprise that many people want to follow your blog - we just can't get enough of your art :).
Take care,
エベリン ...that's how my teacher writes my name :)
Dear Evelyn = エベリン(Japanese writing!)
ReplyDeleteThank you~~~!! Yes, I put myself in the illustrations. Now, I'm struggling to archive my documents. But a CD says, "Too big." Oh, my, I have to tackle it again. Yes, a computer, as if it were have a life. I try to treat her very kindly...
I hope I can make a backup and visit a shop, probably Monday.
Kind regards, Sadami
Sadami I love your boots--they do look like mine.
ReplyDeleteAs for backing things up, my son just told me about a giant flash drive thingamajig--an HD something or other--that he bought to back up his graphics. He said it was huge. I thought that might be the thing I need to back up these blogs. Than my other son (programmer for Microsoft) said Google backed up the blogs. I thought I'd check on the HD thing though too. I, like you, would hate to lose all this good stuff and I like to have it at my disposal. I'll let you know what I find out. So glad you had the help of friends. Your work and you are an oak tree. You do pleasure all your readers.
We will wait for you with impatience and love, Sadami! Have a good sunday!

ReplyDeleteDear Linda, Cristina, Leovi, Olivia, Bonnie,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!! Your cheers brighten me up on rainy Sunday. My computer, starting is strange or does not go straight and sometimes beeps, beeps. IBM web says beeps mean an error. I try to decipher what sorts of error or damage before visit a computer shop.
Linda, yes, please let me know the info on products(CD?Anything else). I only have a CD. Today, I'll chunk down info and put it into CDs. ...thank you for the comment on an oak tree. I cannot climb it with this leg, but I always come and look up it. I'll sketch it.
Cristina, thank you!! I'll work on watercolors at a studio today. Hopefully, before visiting a computer shop, I will upload a post.
Leovi, thank you. Me, too, love the boots.
Olivia, merci beaucou. I'll go forward.
Bonnie, thank you.
The illustration was my feeling, when I started an artist career, the time when I began to walk again. I felt I pushed and opened huge blocks with my own hands and found a land of art full of light... and love, joy & hope. The girl's adventure continues with nice friends like you all!
Kind regards, Sadami
Hi Sadami ... you are so right that the internet can help not only people with disabilities connect with other creative people, but can help anyone who feels isolated from kindred spirits. For over ten years I wasn't the disabled one, but I stayed so close to my husband that my activities were strongly influenced by his difficulty walking. It turned out to be a wonderful time for art and writing because we had to stay put in on place. Fortunately he was comfortable in the car. I know you are enjoying my blog and can see what I mean by the fact that we stay put a lot.
ReplyDeleteNow that he is walking again, we still spend a great deal of time watching, not moving around.
.. and I'm enjoying my art so much more since I found fellow artists on the internet ... like you.
Oh I LOVE those boots - lots of character!
ReplyDeleteDear Elva,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your joy and pain with me. I love your posts full of humane eyes with a great care for nature--that implies your love for life and people, too. Keep up. Please pass my best wishes to your husband:).
